COURSE SUMMARY The Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature and Theology with a specialisation in Policy Development and Analysis is a 3-year research-based program offered by Africa School of Politics and Governance at ASPG University. The program is delivered 100 percent online to students across Africa and globally. This PhD integrates three disciplines: English language and literature, Theology, and Public Policy. Year 1 focuses on the origin and development of the English language in Africa, with advanced study of English grammar, vocabulary, academic writing, and communication for governance. Year 2 builds professional skills in English law and policy development and analysis, including policy drafting, legal interpretation, and impact assessment. Year 3 is dedicated to original research where students study English law that governs nations and create national policies derived from the Word of God. Graduates will be equipped to serve as policy writers, legal drafters, educators, theologians, and leaders who use language, law, and Scripture to shape just and effective governance
